01Who we are

This notice is issued by Hyred Pte Ltd (Singapore, UEN 202235194E) and Agensi Pekerjaan Hyred Sdn Bhd (Malaysia, company number 202401019291), together referred to as Hyred.

Both are licensed employment agencies: Ministry of Manpower licence 23C1589 in Singapore and JTKSM licence 1549 in Malaysia. The entity responsible for your data is the one you engaged with, or the one operating in the market your enquiry or application relates to.

02What we collect

From candidates

Name, contact details, CV or resume, employment and education history, salary expectations, notice period, work authorisation status, interview notes, and anything else you choose to tell us.

From client contacts

Name, job title, company, work email and phone number, and correspondence relating to a hiring requirement.

From this website, we collect what you submit through the enquiry form, plus standard analytics about how the site is used.

03Why we use it

  • To respond to an enquiry you have sent us.
  • To assess your suitability for roles and, with your agreement, to introduce you to a prospective employer.
  • To provide recruitment, contract staffing and employer of record services to our clients.
  • To meet our legal, licensing and regulatory obligations as a licensed employment agency in Singapore and Malaysia.

05Who we share it with

  • Prospective employers, only with your agreement and only for the role discussed.
  • Our service providers, including the applicant tracking system we use to manage applications, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Regulators and authorities, where the law requires it.

06Where your data is held

Data may be processed in Singapore, Malaysia and by service providers located elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred out of Malaysia or Singapore, we take steps to ensure it receives a comparable standard of protection, as required under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended) and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

07How long we keep it

We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, or where we have an ongoing legal, regulatory or legitimate business reason to retain it. When it is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

08Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct it, if it is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Withdraw your agreement to us holding it

Withdrawing that agreement means we can no longer put you forward for roles. In Malaysia you may also request that your data be transferred to another organisation where that is technically feasible.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate regulatory or business purposes.

09Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore, or to the Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP) in Malaysia.

10Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The version on this page is always the current one.
